From a narrative perspective, I truly wish we had been given more time to get to know the Captain better. It would've made his passing so much more impactful, and all the more painful. I didn't know you long enough, Captain, but what I can gleam from that short time alone is how you are a man of great honor. Rest well, Captain 😢

Capitano is one of the most selfless characters here. I will always respect him and the people who are like him. He sacrificed himself for the nation and the burdens he had within…rest in peace king.

He lived long enough… Perhaps too long, yet he didn't turn himself into a villain, but a hero who did the most heroic thing someone ever could… *A great sacrifice*

Il Captain just feels like a character of such tragedy.. no one remembers his name, no one remembers his face, yet he has the bear all the pain of the souls he has within himself.. We barely learn anything personal about him still, all we know is his feats as a combatant, so i feel like he barely had any time for himself, always protecting the nations he sore his loyalty to.. "You either die a hero, or live long enough to be a villain" yet he remained alive with countless souls tormenting his mental with voices, not letting him rest with sleep even once in all 500 years, his countless wounds from battle and eventual rotting of his body deepening his suffering, yet he never became a villain.. I truly hope that he can come back, to actually enjoy life for once, I know that his current ending might be considered true peace for him, yet he never seemingly got to enjoy joy in his life, someone as honorable as him deserves it.

Everyone talks about the Capitano, but they forget the valiant soldiers of Fatui, who did fight for another homeland. Their feat should also not be forgotten.

God he’s such a well written character. I love genuinely every aspect about him. I’m disappointed he’s not playable, but I’m glad he finally gets to sleep. Rest well, Captain.

Maybe it can happen something like the soul of his right hand (Guthred) that the tales of the people of Natlan were so strong that they basically turned into a sentient soul, the tales of Thrain can become a sentient soul too and take Capitano's body, there's more than enough deeds of him through whole Natlan for that.

He genuinely stole my heart. So unexpectedly. He’s undoubtedly one of my favourite characters in the whole damn game, and he’s only had minimal screen time. Goes to show the quality of his lore and writing was top tier. May he finally find his rest. He certainly earned it.
