Context: That first reveal of castorice in the golden epic trailer made her seem more sleek kuudere top. Her eyes was what baited us the most, we all thought her eyes were more closed and sharp to signify confident coldness. Our wildest imaginations of a stone cold grim reaper was quickly shattered by the very next trailer with the 3D model of a socially awkward, adorkable geek with big round eyes and a little less detail on her design. The fandom exploded with things like “waifu bait” and “fanservice” calling her ugly, especially during the story quest where she seems closer to mc than other chrysos heirs. Looking back, it was our fault for placing so much expectations on the first ever picture of the character. We all love her now.
