It's not actually cancelled, only delayed cuz they cant change it easily, it takes like a year to plan while an on going version is there. And if they try changing it, things are gonna make it worse. I genuinely don’t think Edo Star will be scrapped. Just locally speaking, they’ve probably spent over two or so years to make the maps and whatnot, so scrapping it and delaying further won’t only piss off international fans, but also Chinese fans.
From what I’ve heard, something similar happens during the release of Inazuma, so I’ve yet to form much of an opinion until an official statement has been made
